For the Days When It Feels Like Too Much

Some days, healing feels like a rollercoaster you can’t get off. One minute you’re okay — the next, everything feels too loud, too hard, too hopeless. You’re not alone in this. You’re not broken. You are a deeply feeling person who is trying to navigate life after trauma — and that’s one of the hardest things a human can do.
You’re Not Inadequate — You’re Processing
When trauma runs deep, it scrambles our thoughts. It makes it hard to find words. That doesn’t mean you’re inadequate. It means you’re in motion. You’re healing in the way your body knows how — moment by moment.
You Long for Love — That’s Human
You want someone to love you as deeply as you love. That is not weakness. That is your strength. It hurts when your love has no safe place to land — but that longing is sacred. It means your heart is still open, still hoping. You are not too much. You are worthy of love that is steady and safe.
Anger Isn’t the Enemy — It’s the Messenger
When you feel angry at the world, at bad service, at people who don’t seem to care — you’re not being petty. You’re reacting from a place of hurt. Your anger is trying to protect you. You can acknowledge it without letting it control you. You’re allowed to feel what you feel.
Craving Space Isn’t Selfish — It’s a Need
Not wanting to be around people isn’t a flaw. It might be your body asking for calm. You’ve carried so much for so long — it’s okay to be quiet. It’s okay to rest. You’re still healing, even in stillness.
You Still Show Up — That’s the Proof
Some days you hold space for others. Some days you hold space for yourself. That’s not inconsistency — that’s humanity. You are already growing. Already healing. Already worthy.
A Note to Keep With You
You are not broken — just tired from surviving.
You are not too much — just full of feelings that were never given space.
You are not alone — even in your darkest hours.
Healing isn’t always beautiful. But every part of it matters. Including this one.
